Every Child Deserves
A Safe Place To Call Home.

Our mission is to ensure the safety of every child in our community. Our caseworkers aim to give each child the chance to excel.

Creating Safer Homes With Wrap-Around Support

We provide wrap-around support to families identified as needing assistance. We assign them dedicated caseworkers who collaborate to implement resources and strengthen family bonds to ensure the child's safety and well-being.

Scioto County Memorandum of Understanding to Address Child Abuse and Neglect

This memorandum is an agreement among Scioto County Department of Job and Family Services and community partners that delineates roles and responsibilities for referring, reporting, investigating, and prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases.

How We Build Stronger Families.

When a family is identified as requiring support, either through an investigator's assessment or by order of the Juvenile court, they are assigned a dedicated caseworker. Collaboratively, the assigned caseworker engages with the entire family to facilitate the integration of resources aimed at ensuring child safety.

Our paramount goal is to assist families in implementing necessary adjustments to ensure the well-being and security of the children within their home environment. In cases where a child's safety is jeopardized, decisive actions are taken, potentially involving the removal of the child from the home. In such instances, our diligent caseworkers guide families in identifying the necessary measures to mitigate risks, striving toward the reunification of the child with their family in an improved and secure setting.
